Welcome to the Mighty Empty's shrine to Ego. This is where I tell everyone in the world a little about me, and let them all fall in love with the grand and wonderful thing that is... well, me. Come bask in my glorious glory and join me for a small trip around my self. Vlah. Stats: As for work, I work at a corporation that I truly love. Ask me, and I might tell you what it is. It has, however, been dubbed The Collective, due to its inexorable pull on the AZGoth populace. My hobbies are the internet, pool, occultism, smoking hookah, and literature. I'll start with the Net. The Internet was not the first time modems and computer communications caught my eye- when I was a wee lad of 13 or so, I was an avid BBSer. For those of you who never had the priviledge of living in an ANSI filled wonderland of keyboard-driven menus, message boards, and 15-minute-to-download GIFs, a BBS is a single computer with many modems plugged into it, whose sole purpose was to provide a small world for it's users. This love has blossomed, until I sit in this chair nine years later, geeking away with the same glee and sense of discovery I felt as a child. I am an editor of The Open Directory, as well as a member of the AZGoth Mailing List. Pool is a hobby I picked up several years back, and have continued to this day. It also happens to be one of the reasons I favor the Killing Jar over the Nile.If you see me, ask me to play a game. I rarely refuse. Occultism is a hobby I believe needs a definition and introduction- I say occultism not in the way which society has chosen to define it(as a kind of catch-all phrase for anything malevelant or evil), but in the original definition(the study of secret knowledge). This sounds lofty, but what it amounts to is a good deal of theosophy, astrology, and secret teachings of almost every major religion, encapsulated in books upon my shelves.
Lastly, you have literature. Literature has always been one of my favorite things- in fact, even older than my love of computers is my love of literature. I learned how to read at a young age, and I aspire, someday, to make meager amounts of money writing. Of course, the meager amounts of money will be much more palatable if the Master plan comes together, and I am rich by the time I hit 35. |
